Petrol price to remain stable
HA NOI - Retail petroleum prices would not increase until the end of March next year, Deputy Minster of Industry and Trade Nguyen Cam Tu told a conference yesterday in Ha Noi.
Tu instructed domestic petrol trading enterprises to ensure an adequate supply of fuel and effective supervision of their agents to avoid potential speculation.
Enterprises would not be allowed to continue to trade if violations were discovered.
Third coffee plant opens
HA NOI — Vinacafe Bien Hoa has broken ground on its third coffee processing plant in Long Thanh Industrial Zone in the southern province of Dong Nai.
With total investment capital of VND500 billion (US$25 million), the new plant has a design capacity of 3,200 tonnes per year, a four-fold and forty-fold increase in capacity compared with its second and first plants, respectively.
The plant will go into operation in the first quarter of 2013 and creating 600 domestic jobs.
Viet Tri centre for 500 traders
PHU THO — The Ha Noi Trade Corporation has started the construction of a trade and services complex in the northern city of Vieât Tri in Phu Tho Province on Wednesday.
The complex will cover an area of 5.6ha and house trade centres, trade streets, warehouses, food and beverage areas and restaurants.
The complex is expected to attract 500 traders when it comes into operation.
Investment certificates revoked
NGHE AN — The Management Board of Nghe An Industrial Zone in central Nghe An Province revoked investment certificates from a total of 20 delayed projects from 2007 to November 2010.
In an attempt to avoid wasting land and creating favourable conditions for enterprises who invest in Nghe An province, the management board has only revoked six investment certificates in 2010, but with five more projects being looked at pending performance related assessment.
The board will grant further investment certificates for firms to invest in the province next year.
Advice on green development
HA NOI — Archi Invest Joint Stock Company (Archi Invest) signed a strategic agreement with CB Richard Ellis Viet Nam Co Ltd (CBRE) yesterday to develop the ecological real estate sector as well as provide valuable information on the sector to investors and customers.
The agreement would help Archi Invest to develop a deep and diversified understanding of the ecological real estate market in the north from CBRE, said Nguyen Thanh Nam, Archi Invest general director.
The co-operation would also help Archi Invest to approach professional investment partners and develop ecological property projects, he said.
MB inks deal with EVN
HA NOI — Military Bank (MB) on Tuesday signed a deal with Electricity of Viet Nam (EVN) to co-operate in the fields of credit, underwriting, banking services and financial consultancy.
Under the deal, MB will help EVN accept payment of electricity bills through SMS Banking, Internet Banking, ATM's and MB offices.
Intracom insures capital building
HA NOI — The Infrastructure Investment and Transportation Construction JSC (Intracom) has inked a policy with the Vietnam National Aviation Insurance to insure the construction of a 24,000-square-metre office and apartment project in the capital.
The project includes a 15-floor public service office and two buildings with 250 apartments. — VNS
