Gov't extends deadline for corporate income tax
Ha Noi — The Government has decided to extend payment dates for corporate income tax to remove difficulties for enterprises with the aim of contributing to economic development in 2010.
Accordingly, the term of corporate income tax payment will be extended by three months from the due date for small and medium enterprises involved in production, garment and textile, and footwear processing.
The payment extension is only applicable to companies that have declared their accounts and the decision will take effect from April 10, 2010.

Minh Phu shrimp production to rise
HA NOI — Minh Phu Seafood Corporation has reported that its three shrimp processing factories are running at a capacity of 14,000 tonnes per year. The corporation expects to increase its capacity to 40,000 tonnes per year by the first quarter of next year.
In 2009, Minh Phu exported 16,000 tonnes of processed shrimp worth US$158.7 million, up by 16 per cent in volume and 1.65 per cent in value over the previous year. Major export markets of the corporation's products are the US, South Korea, Japan, Canada and the EU.
Nha Trang exports fabric to China
NHA TRANG — Nha Trang Textile and Garment company exported three containers of fabric to China this week worth US$100,000.
The company has signed export contracts worth over $2.3 million in fabric and clothing products due for shipment by June this year to the EU, the US, China, South Korea, Turkey and other Asian markets.
Zing.vn tops website rankings in Viet Nam
HA NOI — Zing.vn recently passed Yahoo.com to become the most visited web site in Viet Nam, according to Alexa.
Zing, which was set up two years ago, became the first Vietnamese website to receive an excess of 1 billion visits per month. In January, Zing led with 1.2 billion visits, followed by Yahoo.com, Vnexpress.net and Facebook.com. —VNS
