HCM CITY — Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and their six children are on holiday in Viet Nam, the native country of their seven-year-old adopted son Pax Thien.

This is the family's first trip back to Viet Nam since Pax Thien was adopted by the couple in 2007.

Jolie and Pitt have three biological children and three adopted children, from Cambodia, Ethiopia and Viet Nam.

After a day in HCM City, the Jolie-Pitt family flew to Con Dao Island off Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province on a chartered flight operated by local private carrier Air Mekong on Friday afternoon.

The family will stay at Six Senses Con Dao Resort&Spa until Wednesday when they are scheduled to return to HCM City before leaving the country, Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper reported.

"We take pride in the famous Hollywood family's trip to our island district. Their images will certainly help promote tourism of Con Dao and Viet Nam's tourism industry as well," Bui Van Binh, chairman of Con Dao Island District People's Committee, was quoted by Tuoi Tre as saying. — VNS
