VAS win Gaelic Football Cup

The Viet Nam Australia High School Ha Noi (VAS) won the inaugural Gaelic Football Schools Champions of Viet Nam after beating Hanoi Academy on Wednesday.

The inaugural All Vietnam School Cup, which was organised by the Viet Celts Gaelic Football Club, drew two secondary schools, VAS Hanoi and Hanoi Academy at Xuan La Stadium.

In the closely fought game Hanoi Academy failed to make their possession count as the VAS Hanoi defence remained on imperious form.

Apart from the VAS defence, the big difference between the two sides was the contribution of Nguyen Duc Thang who scored an amazing 3.1 (10 pts). Duong Quang Son Tung and Hoang ‘Baby' Nam also scored a point each for VAS Hanoi. The Hanoi Academy point was taken by the stylish Hanoi Academy captain, Hong Gia Bao. — VNS
