HA NOI — Mozambican Prime Minister Aires Bonifacio Baptista Ali arrived in Viet Nam yesterday on a week-long official friendship visit to the country at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

The Mozambican PM is accompanied by ministers of labour, fisheries, and veterans' affairs and deputy ministers of finance and agriculture, plus several other officials. — VNS

Delegates at the 11th National Party Congress yesterday voted to elect members for the 11th Party Central Committee, which will consist of 175 official and 25 alternate members.
As many as 175 official and 25 alternate members will be elected to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) for the 11th tenure.
