Bank official arrested

HA NOI — Deputy General Director of Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam Doan Tien Dung yesterday was caught red-handed accepting a bribe.

Yesterday afternoon, Ha Noi Police's Investigation Unit searched Dung's office in Vincom Tower on the city's Ba Trieu Street.

Dung, born in 1956, used to be director of the bank's Hai Phong Branch and was appointed deputy general director in 2008.

The police are continuing their investigations.—VNS
