Study society helps disadvantaged pupils

PHU YEN — Over 3.5 million disadvantaged students and teachers nationwide were given support from the Viet Nam Study Promotion Society last year, the society reported yesterday in central Phu Yen province's Tuy Hoa City.

With 8.5 million members across the country, the society, founded in 1996, has established 10,700 community study centres where people can access and exchange knowledge and experiences in education, production, health and Government's policies. — VNS
